  • Pentekostarion (Tsvetnaya Triod) – a book similar to the Triodion but containing the Proper of the Season, that is, the variable prayers and lessons for the services from Easter Sunday until the first Sunday after Pentecost (All Saints' Sunday). If allowance is made for borrowing and additions, it was largely the work of St. Theodore the Studite (d. 826) and St. Joseph of Thessalonica or their disciples. (Day, Peter. The Liturgical Dictionary of Eastern Christianity. Wellwood, 1993. P. 16, 231) The book forms part of the collection of old prints and special collections of UCU Library. Book in old hardcover (leather with stamping and gilding, wood base). The title page, leaves at the beginning and end of the book are missing. The book contains marginal notes in black ink. The book was purchased in 1664 for the Church of the Resurrection in Bilka village [Lviv oblast, Ukraine]. Zapasko I͡A., Isai͡evych I͡A. The book is printed in two colors. Print run is [860 copies]. Script: 10 lines – 82, 59 mm. Decoration: forta, the Assumption of the Virgin and small printing stamp of the Brotherhood (verso of the title page), large printing stamp (verso of the last leaf), 21 illustrations in the text, headpieces, tailpieces, initials. Molded decorations. Printers: [Semen Stavnyts'kyĭ and Dmytro Kul'chyts'kyĭ]. Engravers: Illi͡a, VFZ, Afanasiĭ K., A., Vasyl Ushakevych, and Heorhiĭ the hierodeacon. Preface to the reader. The Synaxarion for the Friday of the week is in Ukrainian (folio 437, verso of folio 439).
