  • The biography of Carl A. Gundersen (1895-1964), businesman and active member of the Norwegian-Danish Free Church Association and later the EFCA. Emigrating from Norway to the United States in 1904, Carl established a successful construction company in the 1920s. After weathering the Great Depression, Gundersen became very involved in the Scandinavian Alliance Mission, later The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) program, supporting missionaries and evangelical causes around the world. This biography, writen by his wife, Valborg, celebrates his life and generous contributions through the Free Church. Trinity International University has several buildings named in his honor, including the Gundersen Academic Center and Gundersen Apartments.
