- Peter Orr interviews Stephen Driscoll regarding his new book on Artificial Intelligence (AI). They discuss how to think about AI both positively and critically, and how the gospel assists us when considering AI. He extends this to technology more generally, with examples of technology from the Old Testament. Driscoll provides an overview of where the technology of Articifial Intelligence is currently at, and how AI affects our brains. He applies this to who we are as human beings, made in the image of God. Driscoll examines the issue of AI being an existential risk to the human race, and how it comparesand contrasts with the concept of the New Creation. Finally, Driscoll highlights some of the practical benefits, but also practical concerns in the use of AI.
