After the Free Church, Brown continued his work for peace with the Ecumenical Peace Institute, a chapter of Clergy and Laity Concerned. Inside the newsletter, he is described as, "Jock Brown, 50. He is the EPI staff person that picks up on whatever isn't getting done. His life turned on Hiroshima day, 1945., at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio. he would like to see the Church get into the Gospel. In his spare time he helps people with homework and reconstructs lost MSS."
