Thomas D. Russell Hall was completed in 1957. It was named for the trustee and athletics clothing manufacturer of Alexander City, Thomas D. Russell. Originally, the building was the Science Building on campus and housed the Biology Department. In this photograph, a student, believed to be Marsha Cook, is working in the arboretum, a space which no longer exists on campus.
