  • Knox explains that Christ alone is the ground of our salvation, and not from works. He explains the place of works in Protestant theology. Knox shows that God works through our nature and will, but how this happens is a great mystery to us. Knox endeavors to defines religion, including that it is a man-made way of responding to God coming from our sinful hearts.
