Family Service on Psalm 1. The godly person is contrasted with the actions, assumptions, and thoughts of the wicked. The law of the Lord is set against the counsel of the wicked. The object of our meditation should be on the words of God. Ultimately, what shapes our thinking, shapes our lives. The godly look for guidance through the word of God. Akin to a well-watered tree, the godly person is nourished and transformed by the law of the Lord. For the wicked, their security and support prove to be illusory, and they will ultimately perish in judgement.
