A. C. Oxford (1835-1925) was an Alabama-based photographer during the late 19th and early 20th century. Born in Carrollton, Pickens County, Alabama, Oxford took some of the earliest photographs of Birmingham. Having served in the Confederacy during the Civil War, Oxford remained active in Confederate Veterans organizations until his death. In 1916, Oxford created several photograph albums of his photographic work, with this being one of them.

Disclaimer: This photo album may contain materials that are offensive to some.
