This magnificent Gothic cathedral erected by the Indianapolis bodies of the Scottish Rite occupies half of an entire city block at North and Meridian Streets. It is highly ornamented with emblematic designs in cut stone and beautified with symbolic stained glass windows. Its majestic tower rises 212 feet and houses a carillon or "singing bells" - one of the greatest in the world.
