- Photograph of Ida V. Moffett in her U.S. Cadet Corps Nursing outfit. In 1943, Moffett organized the Cadet Nurse Corps, which was a federal program designed to fill in a shortage of nurses and was the first of such programs in Alabama. The photograph is undated but based on Moffett's uniform, it can accurately be dated to the mid 1940s.
