The majesty of God’s creation, the clear handiwork of the Creator, speak plainly towards the glory of God. When viewed through a Christian perspective, we can see purpose, order, and harmony within the world which has been created with a purpose. David then turns his attention towards the law of the Lord and its impact upon the believer. When studied, the law can be viewed as restorative and corrective on all relationships which were negatively impacted by the Fall. In connecting both meditations, David finds a relationship between general revelation and special revelation revealed through the words of God. To understand the world and us, we must have the word of the Lord upon our hearts.
