  • Moffatt speak on the Parable of the Two Sons from Luke 15:11-24. He looks at the heart problem of the younger son, and his search for pleasure and identity. Moffatt compares the younger son to Ancient Israel, and then with the desires of his contemporary audience. Moffatt explains that we are never content because our yearning for a better world because we are fallen people in a fallen world. He explains that the right place for us now is at God's side, and thus we should yearn for him. Moffatt shows that these yearnings are fulfilled in God, and thus coming home to God will meet our yearnings.
