Professor Freddy Boey, interviewed for the OCF Heritage Project, shares his journey from Singapore to Melbourne in 1977. A committed Christian, he discovered Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF), where he developed his spiritual leadership and served as OCF Monash Chair and later OCF Australia EXCO Chair (1979). He helped integrate Victoria’s OCF centers, initiated OCF Geelong, and ministered to students. After graduation, he spent a year on Aboriginal missions in Doomadgee, mentored by Victor Akehurst. Returning to Singapore, he balanced missions, academia, and leadership, later becoming Deputy President of NUS. He encourages students to seek humility, purpose, and lifelong faithfulness.
