Description
  • Knox preaches on the truth of the gospel as described in 1 Timothy 3:16. The Church is a shining light of truth within the world. Jesus is the revealed truth of our message. Jesus is the one on whom our worldview is focused. Christ was preexistent, manifested in the flesh. God has taken our nature, setting forth an example and pattern to be imitated. As the Righteous One, Jesus was proven truly faithful and obedient to God through the experience of Cross. We are declared righteous through Jesus. The resurrected Jesus was seen by the Disciples and followers of Jesus following His death and sent to proclaim the gospel to the entire world. The ministry of the gospel is characterised by glory due to the active work of God calling many to salvation. Jesus' ascension institutes God's vindication and elevation of the Son. We must see the world as one ruled by Jesus. The Church is to act as the pillar of truth within the world, proclaiming the truth contained within the poem of verse 16 concerning Christ.
