Edward V. Stein (1920-2005) was Tully Professor of Pastoral Psychology at San Francisco Theological Seminary for 28 years before his retirement in 1987. He received his AB from University of California, Los Angeles; BD, Princeton Theological Seminary; and PhD, University of Southern California. He also studied at the CG Jung Institute, Zurich, Switzerland. His books include "Guilt: Theory and Therapy", "The Stranger Inside You", "Beyond Guilt", and "Fathering: Fact or Fable?" He was among the contingent from SFTS at the Martin Luther King march in Selma in 1965.
