- Known as the downtown Methodist Church of Waco, Austin Avenue was organized in 1900 and moved to its present location in 1925. The church plant is valued at $1,000,000. The sanctuary will seat 1,400 and the Memorial Chapel 250. Besides a large permanent membership, Austin Avenue serves many students who attend Baylor University.
