Description
  • Webb preaches on Judges 2:6-15. Judges 2 reveals the broken spiritual state of Israel shortly following death of Joshua and the nation's settlement within the land. The passage reveals a generation that neither knew nor treasured the redemptive acts of God. The failure to properly treasure God's actions towards the proceeding generation resulted in cultural capitulation and religious syncretism. God's judgement was expressed in the Israelites' military incompetence and weakness. In light of the passage, Webb argues that we should be careful not to slip away ourselves. We can diligently teach the next generation about God and his redemptive acts. We must live lives which reflect Christian integrity.
