  • Orr and Earngey explore the importance of knowing and understanding church history. They look at how understanding church history helps us to understand what it is that we believe. Earngey highlights some of our blind spots that could benefit from a study of church history. He explains how church history increases our interest in theology. Earngey explains what catechisms are, and their value for understanding and learning theology. Earngey considers if we can put too much weight on church history.
