Handwritten note found inside the Michaux Bible. It refers to the Rev. Albert Sidney Venable (Union BD 1892) on the occasion of his marriage to Sallie E. Garden. The Bible was given to them as a wedding gift by Nannie W. Venable Garden, the bride's stepmother. The Bible passed to the Rev. Sidney Johnson Venable (BD 1918), then to his daughter Leucia Venable of Wilmington, Delaware, who donated it to the William Smith Morton Library in 2015 by deed of gift.
