Photograph of Annie Luther Bagby. 1923. Annie Luther Bagby, born in 1859, was the first Texas foreign missionary. She married William B. Bagby, who became the second foreign missionary. Beginning in 1881, they served as missionaries with the Foreign Missionary Board of the Southern Baptist Convention in Brazil for over 60 years. She died in December 1943. JPG file (293 KB)
