Six martyrs--M. Coker, W. Hopper, Hen. Laurence, Rich. Colliar, Rich. Wright, and Wil. Stere—are chained at the waist to three stakes. Some have their arms extended and some have their hands clasped as in prayer. Large flames engulf the men while a black cloud hovers above them. The martyrs are surrounded by a crowd of soldiers observing the burning.
