Jane Daggett Dillenberger (1913-2014) served as curator at Art Institute of Chicago, Fogg Museum, Newark Museum and Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. A trained art historian and curator, she began teaching religious art at Drew University and then moved to the West Coast with John Dillenberger and taught at San Francisco Theological Seminary, Pacific School of Religion and other schools at GTU. Two of her best known books are Style and Content in Christian Art (1986) and The Religious Art of Andy Warhol (1998). She curated several national exhibits, including Perceptions of the Spirit and The Hand and the Spirit: Religious Art in America 1700-1900. She was mentor to many students and professors at GTU.
