Description
  • Conference looks at some principles of church renewal, and some ways that these principles have been applied in the speaker's home parish. Fullam speaks at length on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Fullam explains that we must all meet Jesus for ourselves, and then ask for the Holy Spirit. He warns against trusting in ourselves in ministry, and instead to rely on God's timing. Fullam looks at the effect of our priorities and the cost of having Jesus as our first priority. Fullam warns against burn out and how to manage time. He looks at the importance for ministers to have someone to go to for pastoral care. Fullam challenges the audience to consider what their gifts are, and to value all of them. He gives an example of a group of people for whom prayer was their gift compared to him. Cassette label reads : "Canterbury Conference parish renewal - part 2 Rev Terry Fullam and partner HM564"
