  • Four reasons to study the Old Testament include its contribution to our understanding and perspective of Jesus and His role as Christ. Secondly, the Old Testament enlarges our understanding of God, including His character and purposes. Thirdly, the Old Testament is full of teachings on the subject of righteousness.
