• Jackman looks at John's purpose for writing his gospel. He stresses the importance of not separating the cross from the resurrection, as the resurrection confirms the success of the cross. Jackman shows how the resurrection was the original plan and that John has been preparing his readers for this. He rebukes other arguements for the absence of a body. Jackman explores Mary's discussion with Jesus in the garden and her recognition of his voice. He then explores other appearances, especially to the disciples in the locked room, and the role of Thomas.
