Description
  • Shead speaks on the CMS principle of starting in a small way. He compares depth with spread, using university ministry as an example. This involves deciding whether to start small with a core group, or going for as big an impact in as short a time as possible. He looks at the practical implications of going for depth. Blowes looks at the benefits of starting small, especially in relation to mistakes that are made when starting out. He then shares some successes of starting out. Radkovic gives examples from Japan of the challenges of starting small, including the temptation of big events. Talk is followed by questions. Cassette label reads : "2002 CMS Summer School missionary session F3 topic : Accorns to oak trees" Cassette insert adds "starting in a small way, example from university and SLAM ministry Joe Radkovic, Pete Blowes, David Shead" 2002 CMS Summer School missionary sessions series
