Good Roads Tour, promoted by The Birmingham Ledger. This photograph, about 1910, with a motor caravan headed South for Montgomery. It is atop Red Mountain almost in the gap below Vulcan now. (1957). The man in front of the automobile is Dr. Dedman Atty. Charlie Rice front car and its driver Paul Crawford, at that time Agent for Chandler Auto. The trolly track runs from Birmingham to Rosedale-Today Homewood. These tours were conducted for two years - 3 tours each year.
