Description
  • Condie preaches on the topic of fear and anxiety based on Matthew 8: 18-27. Central to the passage is its perspective and message on discipleship and Jesus' Christology. Jesus' inactivity and activity point towards Jesus' sovereignty. To follow Jesus entails a total restructure of one's life and priorities. As God's appointed king, it was appropriate for Jesus to rebuke the faith of the Disciples. The great command of the Bible, 'do not be afraid,' is rooted in the fact that the most basic reaction of mankind towards God should be trust. Where there is trust, there is no room for fear. Christology is the answer to discipleship. Because of whom Jesus is, we follow Him.
