• Benson tells the account of the book of Exodus, starting with Moses and Israel at Mount Sinai. He summarises the events of the books of the law. The video then pauses and asks the audience to consider how the original readers understood their Bibles. Benson then looks at some of the ways the text has been misunderstood, and how to read the bible wisely. He stresses that the text can no be mapped directly into our current lives, but must always first hold the text in it's original context. Benson gives a summary of the first eleven chapters of Genesis, stressing the introduction of sin. He then gives a summary of God's promises of redemption, tracing the theme across the bible.
