  • Anderson, Bennett and Newmarch looks at the tension between the cultures that they are serving in and the west. Anderson looks at the history of the relationship between White and Indigenous Australia. He examines some of the things that are confusing for Indigenous Australians, resulting in white power. Anderson looks at the implications of this history for mission work, and the need to respond. 1. Stay long-term 2. Social and political context of the spread of the gospel Bennett looks at the expectations of the local people towards the missionaries, and the importance of understanding the cultures you are working with.
