Description
  • Stott looks at the Upper Room discourse in John 13-17. He places them in it's Biblical context. Stott looks at the significance of the washing of the disciple's feet, both as a parable and the timing. Stott explores the characters involved, their discussion and Jesus' actions. Stott explains that submitting to Christ is the way to have freedom. Stott looks at ways the foot-washing is remembered in the 70s, and what it really meant to wash each other's feet. He shows that love involves both service and sacrifice. Reel box reads : "1971 Summer School - Rev JRW Stott. Tape 1 : Track 1 'The power' (Holy Spirit) : Track2 John 13"
