Description
  • What does it mean to say that the church is a community of the baptized? How have you seen your baptismal identity guiding you at different stages of your life? Can you give examples of how the church’s baptismal spirituality is connected to mission and social justice? Dr. Lord’s presentation will engage the rite and theology of baptism in order to think about the church as a community of the baptized and what a baptismal spirituality means for the life of faith in this storm-tossed world. A baptismal spirituality anchors us in the dying and rising of Christ, the communion of saints, and the Spirit’s life-giving care. Standing in our baptismal power means we can navigate rough waters and continuously change course as we orient toward God’s abundant life.
