Description
  • Griffiths looks at the Jewish diaspora and Peter's writing to them in 1 Peter 1:1-12. He looks at why we have theological security, even when there is no political security. 1. Chosen according to God 2. Set apart by the sanctifying work of the Spirit 3. For obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Christ Griffith expounds the opening paragraph. He looks at what it means to be God's heir, and for our faith to depend on God instead of ourselves. Griffith shows that trials and suffering are a part of the believing life, and are actually beneficial for faith.
