  • This pamphlet, created by Providence Presbyterian Church, is a historical narrative written as a souvenir for the occasion of the opening of a new church building on January 3, 1892. Sections of this history are about the church, the mission schools, the constitution of the mission schools, the new building, and extracts from letters received at the opening (from Professor Henry Woods, Reverend D.C. Marquis, Reverend A.B. Lowes, Reverend O.A. Hill, W.H. Gill, Reverend Samuel J. Niccolls, Reverend John M. Mealy, and Reverend T.D. Logan). Also included are several sketches of people, previous iterations of the church building, and the new church building.
