Jarrett recounts and expounds Israel's doubt at the entry to the promised land. Jarrett stresses that the gospel must be combined with faith, otherwise it is useless to us. She shows that Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice, and that his sacrifice covers all sins, in comparison to the sacrificial systems which only covered sin done in ignorance. Jarrett shows that we must not grumble against God.
