Sermon given at Tuesday Chapel Kern looks at how we can trust in the resurrection from John 19_38-20_31. He looks at perifial characters to see that people did not expect resurrection. 1. Before the resurrection took place 2. After the resurrection took place but before Jesus had been seen 3. After the resurrection but before the command to go to the nations. He explores Nicodemus and Joseph to explore the power of fear as an obstacle to faith. Kern looks at Mary's grief and Thomas's doubt. This shows that Jesus really did rise.
