Description
  • Winter explores 2 Peter 1 and preaches on the topic of the Christian life. God has bestowed upon everyone all things that relate to life itself. For the Christian, a believing perspective sees life purely as a gift. God richly supplies all things required for a godly life. In response to God’s generosity, the Christian should be eager to fulfil our obligation to live a moral or virtuous life. A fruitful Christian life finds its expression in purposeful development of moral integrity, honesty, consistency, and knowledge. Knowledge can threaten a Christian when it merely remains head knowledge, as it requires to be applied into one’s life. The Christian must be eager to exert self-control over one’s life. Self-discipline is likewise a crucial aspect of a Christian’s life and ministry. Patience and self-control equip the Christian to be sustained and thrive in challenging situations, particularly for the Christian minister. Within the context of patience, godliness likewise must be developed or supplied. From godliness, we must display brotherly love and genuine concern towards fellow Christians.
