Printed caption on back - The First Parish Church in Concord, Massachusetts, has its present buildings on the site of the building win which the First and Second Provincial Congress met in 1774-75, with John Hancock presiding and Rev. William Emerson as chaplain. Emerson, grandfather of Ralph Waldo, became the pastor of this church in 1765, and served until 1776 when he died of fever contracted at Fort Ticonderoga while serving as Chaplain to the Revolutionary forces. 1775-American Revolution Bicentennial-1975.
