- The beauty of the Catholic Altar with its mosaic background at the Air Force Academy Chapel is apparent in this view. To the left is the marble bas-relief figure of Our Lady of the Skies, the white dove representing the Holy Spirit in the center and to the right is the Guardian Angel. A gold chalice is in place on the altar with a silver-plated bronze crucifix at the rear. Sculpture and Mosaic by Lumen Martin Winter.
