• Topical - Cassette of the Month Club. The speaker cautions against cultural misconceptions around marriage and singleness, in the time of Corinthians and today. The speaker explains how 1 Corinthians 7:8-16 provides clear guidance for those who are married, single, desiring marriage, gifted with singleness, widowed, married to a non-believer or being asked to divorce. He clarifies when it’s appropriate to stay in the marriage (if non believing spouse also seeks to stay married), when to divorce (adultery, unbelieving spouse initiates the divorce) and when to remarry, such as when you are widowed or the unbelieving spouse initiates the divorce). He cautions against long engagements and what it means when the unbelieving spouse is sanctified by the believing spouse.
