  • Gibson encourages his listeners to take a clear picture of the future, as this will have implications for the present. He looks at 1 Peter and looks at the past events of Jesus' death and resurrection to understand the future. Gibson looks at God's verdict on Christ, and how the resurrection allows the verdict on us can be reversed. Gibson looks at the price of trusting Christ, including suffering. He stresses the importance of sharing the gospel, of praying and being clear-minded when we pray. Gibson remind his listeners that gifts come from God, and are for the benefit of others, rather then a part of our identity. Gibson emphasises the role of serving others.
