  • Reid gives an overview of the historical context of Jeremiah. He explores the person of Jeremiah, including his age and personality. He looks at what we do and don't know about Jeremiah. Reid looks at what it meant to be a prophet, and explores the roles of some of the previous prophets. He shows how these connect to the New Testament, to show that the gospel does not change. Reid explores the authoritative nature of Jeremiah. Reid focuses on Jeremiah 1:1-19, but moves in chapter 2.
