Description
  • Peter Orr interviews Ben Gray about the ways that All Saints Petersham reaches out to the homeless in their area. Gray describes what boarding houses are and what it is like to live in them. He shares some of the opportunities that come from reaching the homeless, whilst warning against focusing on social justice and forgetting the gospel. Gray shares some of the ways that their Hope Hub shares the gospel at meal services, and how they connect people into church. Ge details some of the barriers for homeless people to come to church/accept Jesus, and how they present the gospel in a safe environment. Gray explains the challenges posed by both drug addictions and mental health issues. Gray describes the boundaries that he has in place to protect his family. Bray encourages the audience to consider who their neighbours are, and how to reach out to them.
