Description
  • The Nature of Faith, Lecture 3. Hill speaks on the object of faith: God Himself. Faith is God-centred, not man-centred, and is provoked by God’s own faithfulness. God is firm, unchanging, constant, and trustworthy. Those experiencing wavering faith need to be reminded of God and His faithfulness. In times of challenge, believers may be tempted to rely on themselves rather than on God, confusing true reliance with self-dependence. Faith looks back to God’s faithfulness in history, in Christ, and in personal experience, while waiting expectantly for God to act.
