Description
  • The Evangelist was the official printed magazine and newsletter of the Evangelical Free Church Association, the denominational entity grouping the Norwegian-Danish Free Churches in the USA. Its roots lie in the Norwegian-Danish Free Church Association newspaper in the Norwegian language known as Evangelisten, published from the 1890's to the mid-1950's. The English Language version, called the Evangelist was begun in 1928 first alternating with the Norwegian version, and continued as well to the early 1950's. It was conceived as a way of strengthening the faithful of the Free Church, and offering news and perspective from a distinctly Evangelical Free Church perspective.
