Printed caption on back - The First Parish Church in Dorchester (Boston), Massachusetts, founded in 1630, is now housed in this, the 6th building erected in 1896. In the early church building was held the first town meeting in America. Richard Mather, an early pastor, and author of the first book published in America, founded the Mather School, the first school supported by public taxation.
