From the 1964 Entre Nous: "Howard coasts home with a 26-14 victory over Mexico. A scrappy Mexican outfit gave Howard all it wanted in the second half, but the Bulldogs held on to a 20-0 halftime lead and coasted to a 26-14 victory in a “South of the Border” clash with Mexico University. The game, played in the mud, was staged in the 110,000 seat Olympic Stadium [Mexico City], witnessed by some 25,000 spectators, one of the largest crowds ever to see the Howard Bulldogs play. President Leslie S. Wright kicked the ball off in pre-game ceremonies, and then the Pumas kicked to Howard, beginning the international battle.”
