• Reid provides an introduction to Jeremiah. He expounds Jeremiah 1-3. He compares the role of Jeremiah to that of our contemporary preachers. Second talk entitled "The unfaithful nation" exploring the sinfulness of Israel and our sin generally. Reid shows that the religious leaders did not know God, and that Israel were making alliances with the world. He calls on the audience to avoid making alliances with the world, and instead with the Spirit. Third talk on false religious confidence. Reid details why Israel had this false confidence, stressing that we need to read the whole of scripture. Reid shows that we need to be obedient to the Lord, and not follow rituals. He explores the places that people mis-place their confidence today. Cassette label reads : "Jeremiah". Cassette insert reads : "Jeremiah 1, 2, 3" White noise throughout.
