Baughen looks at the relationship between prayer and God being in total control. He looks at the settings and surroundsing of prayer - God's character, his holiness and love. After that our specific settings come into play in relation to the will of God. Thus God will not grant a prayer that is unrighteous. He explains that God's purpose is loving, but the block is our sin, and we need to repent. Baughen finally looks at the will of God from 1 John 5, and that God will not give us something outside his will, which is for love and purpose and action for his people. He illustrates this with the command to pray for harvesters to go out. Cassette label reads: "Tape 1 Side 1 Sermon 1 'Is Prayer Imagination' J Wesson Side 2 Does Prayer change God's mind M. Baughen"
