Printed caption on back - The Universalist Church on Cottage Street, Brockton, Mass., is the third church owned by the Society since its organization in 1857 and was built in 1887. The first church was on East Elm Street and is now owned by and occupied by Post 13 G. A. R. The second edifice was erected west of the first and is now used as a theatre. The present pastor of the church, Rev. W. H. Morrison, preached his first sermon for the Society on the first Sunday in June 1899. Includes portrait of Rev. W. H. Morrison. Hand-colored photograph.
